I have been in AFA for over five years now and write monthly restaurant reviews for VegAustin.com and in January 2010, I launched Austin Vegan Drinks, a social advocacy project of VegAustin. I ran my college animal rights group at Notre Dame for three years, promoting veganism and animal-friendly decisions we can make in our lives. During that time I spent a semester in Washington, D.C. where I volunteered for Compassion Over Killing, passing out vegetarian starter guides every week. In 2008 I attended the Animal Rights National Conference sponsored by FARM and met a lot of familiar and new faces in our cause. You can read my outdated blog called Cats and Cows to read some of my ideas on animal rights, politics and activism. In my spare time, I enjoy vegan baking and discovering new ways to cook vegan Tex-Mex.

Can you make it to the Ringling Brother Protest in San Antonio? Hope you can be there!
Yay! You're the first person to get online (besides Chris and me, of course).
